Cut

I am finished my final book on decision-making. The book I choose was Cut by Patricia McCormick. It is a great book to read. I have learned more about cutting and about the people that cut themselves. It also goes into emotions of how and what they feel. I created a product on this book. It was a great read and I would recommend it to middle and high school students. I know that a lot of people deal with this either their self or through someone you know. I gave this book a five star.

Soppy: A Love Story

Today in class we looked up a graphic novel that most appealed to us from the YALSA site. I picked Soppy: A Love Story by Philippa Rice because I love reading love stories bit this one is different. Soppy: A Love Story is about the authors real love life with her boyfriend ad how they live together and cooperate under the same roof. I really want to read this book and learn how her life is with her boyfriend.

Analyze Your Cover

The Face on the Milk Carton
By: Caroline Cooney

The first cover is the most recent cover and it is the one that is on shelves today. I do not like it as well as the other ones because it makes the book look like it is about a ghost and not a girl that was kidnapped at a young age. I like the book covers that have the picture of the girl on the milk carton because it shows you that the book is really about a young girl that was kidnapped. The title font  and word capitalization is different on each of these different book covers.

The Fault in Our Stars

I am currently reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green for one of my free reads. I love this book because it talks about dealing with cancer and how people feel and act with other who have it. I enjoy that it is a love story but also how you can survive and deal with cancer. This story is very touching and means a lot to me.

Poetry

The poetry 180 book was very well written for young adult students. I wish that I could have had a poetry book that I could have read everyday at school.  The poem that meant the most to me was To a Daughter Leaving Home by Linda Pastan. This poem reminded me of how my mom was when I went off to college because I am her only daughter and the first one to leave home.

My books

Divergent

Divergent was a very good read and I really liked it. I am not a reader so for me to say that I liked a book is very surprising. divergent made me look at other societies in the world and how different they are. I would recommend this book to anyone in middle school and above. I completed a review for this book.

The Face on the Milk Carton

I am currently reading The Face on the Milk Carton it is a great novel to read. I enjoy the story behind the book and that it is also a Lifetime movie. I like that it is about a teenage girl who family is not really her true family because she was kidnapped at a young age and grown up not knowing who she really was.

different books

Over the past few weeks I have read many different books that have taken place from history to the future. These books made me realize how everyone sees the world through their written. I have really enjoyed reading all of my books that I picked.

Wonder

The book Wonder was a very positive experience for me to read. Wonder is a book about truth and decisions that families make everyday that deals with their children who have disabilities. I have never had much of an interest in reading books but I loved reading this one. I feel that many children go through this experience everyday all over the world. I would recommend this book to anyone and would ask them to read it with an open mind. I would also read this book to my younger cousins and family to show them how everyone is different and that everyone deserves the same treatment even if they look a little different. As I said before, I really enjoyed this book and would read it again.
